I am glad that you are considering joining The Stray Dog Society! In this letter I will outline who we are, what we do, and the benefits of being a member. We are an inclusive, yet maverick club of Citadel supporters who like to have fun!
Whatever the event – our working motto is, “First Class or No Class”. Most of our members are Citadel graduates, but a Stray Dog member can be anyone who supports The Citadel, with one exception, enrolled cadets. The Citadel does not charter the Stray Dog Society, and our events are independent of the college. For the last 4 years the Society has continued The Homecoming Jamboree tradition of giving back to The Citadel. One year we raised $10,000 for the football stadium from this event!
Our 2012 Jamboree goals are even bigger! We invite you to join us again or for the first time!
The BENEFITS of joining the Stray Dog Society include:
1) Guaranteed access to tickets for the Annual Homecoming Jamborees. Ticket availability will be limited to Stray Dog Society members and alumni of participating reunion classes.
2) TAILGATE at home games and cheer on the Bulldogs down “Stray Dog Alley” and enjoy the Best Tailgate at The Citadel! Your membership includes food, beer, drinks and socializing.
Membership dues are $100 a year, $50 if you are 25 years old and younger. Pay by credit card, PayPal or mail in a check. The first time you became a member will always be your personal renewal date and your dues are good for one year.

The Stray Dog Society, LLC, is open to anyone who has love and respect for that which The Citadel stands. As a Society, we revel, albeit, in a maverick fashion, in those Cadet experiences that pushed the limits. Because of the personality and attitude of The Stray Dog Society, a greater sense of importance and detail will be given to providing fraternal and social outlets for the membership. We will create functions above and beyond those carried out by other Citadel organizations because we are in no way connected to any state organization.
